Savvy carries green products of all kinds for the home, body and baby.  It is our mission to help people live greener lives and to help preserve the environment in the process.

Co-owners Chris Wehrli and Anita Filipek have been friends since their children were in elementary school together at Mill Street School many years ago.  They had often discussed going into business together and with their children, but the right opportunity didn’t present itself until last year. Chris’s daughter Ginny was interested in cloth diapers for her baby, and after a Chicago shopping trip to purchase some, they realized that the Naperville area didn’t have any one resource for such environmentally friendly products.  After a phone call to Anita and her son Eric, they discovered that both families had been thinking about the same idea for quite a while, and the concept for Savvy was born.

Both women have local business backgrounds, as Chris has run Wehrli Wood Refinishing with her husband Tom for over 25 years and Anita has been in real estate for nearly as long.  Two of their children, Ginny Wehrli-Hemmeter and Eric Filipek, both Naperville North High School alumni, are also involved with Savvy as the Marketing Director and Purchasing Director respectively.
